KL International Book Fair 2009!

Again, Putra World Trade Center will held another big event that is KL International Book Fair 2009. Organized by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia it is one of the biggest book fair in Malaysia.

I’m not sure whether I will be able to make it and do I have the cash for the event (I mean to buy the books and stuff…) Need to use a lot of money next month for my son’s “kenduri”. Anyway, I’ve never been to the KL International Book Fair but I went to the Bookfest@Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) that is because KLCC is very close to my work place.

Below are the event details:

Date: 17th – 26th April 2009
Mon – Thurs: 10.00AM to 8.00PM
Fri – Sun & Public holidays: 10.00AM to 9.00PM
Venue: Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

All the book lovers will love this event and would not miss it. This is the 28th time that this event is held and it is one of the largest book fair in Malaysia. The admission is FREE.

Here are some of the highlights of the event:

17th April:

• Launch of a new product by Dr. Fazley. (3.00 pm until 5.00 pm)
• Dialogue ‘Marketing Your book In Frankfurt Book Fair’ By Mr Peter Ripken, Frankfurt Book Fair (3.30pm until 5.30 pm).

18th April:

• Opening Ceremony of KL International Book Fair 2009 (10.00 am until 12.00 pm)
• Launching of the latest books by celebrities. (12.00 pm until 2.00 pm)
• Launching of the latest books from Berita Publishing. (12.00 pm until 2.00 pm)
• PENA Short Film Awards (3.00 pm until 7.00 pm)

There are more activities that are conducted through out with the event.
