Zoo Negara… hmmm… it’s been a while since the last time I visit that place. If I’m not mistaken the last time I went there when I was 12 years old (I’m now 29). Yup… that is a long… long… time.

After more than 15 years… there’s lots of changes to it. The fee increased as well. Now the fee is RM20 for Malaysian and they have a package as well. For RM25 you can take the train rides and visit the insect and butterfly zoo too. I didn’t know about it and the ticket counter person didn’t inform me too. Huh! So I got myself the normal tickets.

Anyway, if you didn’t take the package, a ride on the train will cost you RM3 for adult and RM2 for child, the insect zoo will cost you RM5 per adult. The animals are wonderful especially the Orang Utan that have a baby. Very cute. Couldn’t see the tigers because it hiding somewhere in the cage. Went to the animal show, very nice… My son love it so much.

Below are some sweet moments when we were there:

The  weather was nice. Although it is the monsoon season now, luckily when we were there it doesn’t rain nearly the whole time we were there.  It started raining right after we have our meal in the restaurant inside the zoo and it stopped after few minutes.

Did buy much of souvenir. Just bought a hat for myself and my wife and a keychain. Very cheap, it only cost me RM6.90 for my hat.

It was fun visiting the zoo although I didn’t manage to look at all the animals (aquarium, the bears…, etc) but it was a very fun and tiring day for me and family. Planning to visit the Taiping Zoo Night Safari next. Heard it is cool…
