At Malaysia Chocolate Fair 2010
Jan 17th
Just imagine that the travelling time from Port. Klang to Bukit Raja took me more than 45 minutes? I used the Jalan Tengku Kelana road and always hate these people that like to park at the road side (look at the picture below). From 2 lanes become 1 lane road. Grow up ‘lah‘ people. There’s lots of parking behind the buildings ‘lar‘…
Sorry, a little emotional up there. Continue to the subject…
Reached there around 5 pm. We went straight to the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre at the top floor. The Malaysia Chocolate Fair 2010 is in hall 3. To me, it is quite a small fair. Smaller than what I expected.
Anyway, there is not much food sample that you can try as most of the exhibitor didn’t provide any tester. The cool thing that I saw was the printable chocolate. Yup… you can now print anything on a chocolate. Check out the photo gallery below.
I bought for my son a chocolate lolipop that has an “Upin & Ipin” print on top and it cost me RM10 (promotional price… normal price will be RM15). There’s actually 2 companies that have such service. The first booth that I visited only has this brown & white printed chocolate (from what I can see) and the other booth has this fully colored printed chocolate which I can see they doing the demo of the printing job.
The National Cancer Association was there too to support the exhibition as we chocolate lover knows that coco is an anti-cancer agent. From what that I know, the one that have this anti-cancer agent if you consume chocolate that have more than 40% dark chocolate. So, I’m not too sure about the normal chocolate being an anti-cancer agent. Nowadays, most of the chocolate are too sweet… I was looking for Cadbury but I couldn’t find their booth. Maybe they didn’t participate in the exhibition. Was hoping that I can buy some Cadbury chocolate. The brand that I’m used too that was there are Hersheys, Crispy and Tudor.
So, after all the walking… I bought some chocolate for my family. Cost me below RM30 as I’m on a tight budget. hahaha… They have these quiz thingy at the stage and manage to answer some question but didn’t dare to go to the stage (hahaha…). Anyway, one of the question is where is Nestle originated… the answer is Switzerland.
Went to other exhibition after that at another hall… that’s another story….

Cadbury Warehouse Sale! (My Weekend)
May 20th
Just a short post about what I did during the weekends. Yeah, I didn’t go to the ITEX ’09 and Karnival Kerjaya & Keusahawanan Graduan 2009 for some reason.
Saturday.
On Saturday morning I sent my wife to Alam Sentral, Shah Alam because she got a bowling tournament and her group won 3rd place. Congratulations to her. Done some house work after that.
Fetch her in the afternoon and we (together with my son) went to Jaya Jusco, Bandar Baru Klang (Bukit Raja). It has been quite some time since the last time we went there. Just for window shopping.
Bought some fruit as we’re planning to visit my wife’s aunt at the Klang General Hospital (Tengku Ampuan Rahimah). She’s in quite bad condition. I don’t like to go to the hospital as I always will feel damn sad each time I see sick people. She got a lot of tubes attached to her body and there’s a machine that cleans her kidney if I’m not mistaken, running beside her. Felt so sad for her family.
Hope that she is in better condition now… and I hope that it won’t happen to my family.
Sunday
Went to “Car Boot Sale” at the car park of Stadium Shah Alam. My wife bought some of her stuff. The thing that I like about the “Car Boot Sale”, is that they have some great product that you can hardly find in the stores or hypermarket at a reasonable price. I like to go a booth that sells pet. Some of the pet is quite rare to find in it here. Last weekend they have this 2 small python. Nice…
After that we went to the Cadbury Warehouse Sale in Centro, Klang.
Cadbury Warehouse Sale.
Frankly, the warehouse sale this year is so-so compared to last year. There’s not many choices and the price is not as cheap as before. Even the size of the place is smaller compared to last year. Most of the chocolates expiry date is within this year. Anyway, Cadbury is still my number one chocolate. They should make this warehouse sale as a yearly event and they should have the chocolates for the overseas market like last year they have Zuppernut. That will be nice.
Anyway, bought some chocolates and went back home. Sleep nearly the whole afternoon.
Last weekend… Cadbury, Sunway Pyramid, etc…
Nov 18th
Saturday, 15 November 2008.
After painting some part of the house in the morning. I’ve got nothing to do at home.
My wife suggested that we go to Sunway Pyramid because there is an event from Cadbury, “Cadbury: Malaysia’s Best-Loved Chocolate Carnival”. It is held for 2 days, Saturday and Sunday.
We went there just for the fun of it.
There are a lot of activities but I didn’t join any of it as I’m not in the mood for it.
My wife was just waiting for the clown to make something out of the balloon for my son. And yes, after waiting there for quite some time, the clown at last make a poodle for my son. Hahaha.
It was a great event or carnival.
Below is some of the pictures taken during the carnival.
After that we all ‘jalan-jalan’ inside Sunway Pyramid to see what they have in the new wings. A lot of changes compared to last time. Bought some ice-cream that my son insist to try some. You can tell from the pictures below.
He really likes the ice-cream. After that we went to Subang Parade but I parked my car at Carrefour (don’t ask why). Went to Uncle Lim’s and bought Laksa for my mother-in-law and also ‘jalan-jalan’ around there. Because of the clown, my wife bought the balloon and pump set at the RM5 shop in Carrefour. She want to try her skill in making shapes with the balloons.
Went back home and take a look what happens.
It was a nice weekend.
