At Malaysia Chocolate Fair 2010
Jan 17th
Just imagine that the travelling time from Port. Klang to Bukit Raja took me more than 45 minutes? I used the Jalan Tengku Kelana road and always hate these people that like to park at the road side (look at the picture below). From 2 lanes become 1 lane road. Grow up ‘lah‘ people. There’s lots of parking behind the buildings ‘lar‘…
Sorry, a little emotional up there. Continue to the subject…
Reached there around 5 pm. We went straight to the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre at the top floor. The Malaysia Chocolate Fair 2010 is in hall 3. To me, it is quite a small fair. Smaller than what I expected.
Anyway, there is not much food sample that you can try as most of the exhibitor didn’t provide any tester. The cool thing that I saw was the printable chocolate. Yup… you can now print anything on a chocolate. Check out the photo gallery below.
I bought for my son a chocolate lolipop that has an “Upin & Ipin” print on top and it cost me RM10 (promotional price… normal price will be RM15). There’s actually 2 companies that have such service. The first booth that I visited only has this brown & white printed chocolate (from what I can see) and the other booth has this fully colored printed chocolate which I can see they doing the demo of the printing job.
The National Cancer Association was there too to support the exhibition as we chocolate lover knows that coco is an anti-cancer agent. From what that I know, the one that have this anti-cancer agent if you consume chocolate that have more than 40% dark chocolate. So, I’m not too sure about the normal chocolate being an anti-cancer agent. Nowadays, most of the chocolate are too sweet… I was looking for Cadbury but I couldn’t find their booth. Maybe they didn’t participate in the exhibition. Was hoping that I can buy some Cadbury chocolate. The brand that I’m used too that was there are Hersheys, Crispy and Tudor.
So, after all the walking… I bought some chocolate for my family. Cost me below RM30 as I’m on a tight budget. hahaha… They have these quiz thingy at the stage and manage to answer some question but didn’t dare to go to the stage (hahaha…). Anyway, one of the question is where is Nestle originated… the answer is Switzerland.
Went to other exhibition after that at another hall… that’s another story….
