The Rise of WiMAX at PC Fair II 2008

I was really busy and not well for the past few days. But I manage to make a post at WEBLOGkami.com. On my previous post, I did mentioned about WiMAX when I went to Pikom PC Fair II 2008.
WiMAX stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. Packet One (P1) is one of the first WiMAX licensees in Malaysia had setup a booth at PC Fair II to introduce their service on WiMAX.
WiMAX is like a faster WiFi service with coverage as big as a city. Yes, that is how big the coverage is. P1 W1MAX runs on the 2.3 GHz WiMAX spectrum and 802.16e standard, which is also known as Mobile WiMAX. It’s a technology that enables wireless broadband access up to 30 miles (50 km) for fixed stations. Plus, WiMAX is designed to deliver up to 40 Mbps speed per channel. That is fast.

To introduce the techonology, Packet One Networks (M) Sdn Bhd is collaborating with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) bringing you “The KL Wireless Metropolitan Project“ or “Wireless@KL“. It is a FREE… I said it again… It is FREE, wireless broadband internet access service throughout the whole Kuala Lumpur. Users would be able to access speeds of up to 512kbps, at some of 1,500 Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) access points implemented throughout KL. You just need to register an account here. You can check the coverage at Wireless@KL too.
For faster speed you can register to P1 Hot Zone PrePaid Plan. Just check out their website for further info on the packages that they offered.

Simple Way To Start A Blog #2

This post is the continuation of my older post “Simple Way To Start A Blog”.
But this time I will explain on how you can start a blog without having your own domain name or hosting.
For this post I will use Blogger.com as the free blogging service provider. In the future, I will to explain more on other blogging service provider like wordpress.com.
- First step is of course, you need to go to Blogger.com. You will see a something like the below screenshot.
- Click on “CREATE YOUR BLOG NOW”.
- Then you will need to create a Google account. It will be a lot easier if you have a Google account such as Gmail, Google Groups, or Orkut.
- Don’t forget to click on the box for “I accept the Terms of Service” and click Continue.
- Here, you need to enter your Blog title and your blog address and then click on Continue.

Make a magazine cover with your photo using MagMyPic.

Hi,
My friend showed me a site that can make you an instant magazine cover with your own photo.
I know… I know… maybe the site is out for quite sometime but I just got to know about it and it is quite cool.
Anyway, you can check it out and give it a try. You just need to choose a photo, match it with any cover given, choose the size of the magazine and copy the code. That’s it.
Suitable for Friendster, Facebook and all the other Social Network websites and also blogs.
