Last week I went to AEON Bukit Tinggi with my family and there is a Celcom Wireless Broadband Road Show. I think that is what it is called. By chance me and my family bump into my brothers and he wanted to get the Celcom Wireless Broadband for himself.

The road show is held from 17th of March until 30th March 2009. It gathered a few Celcom Wireless Broadband agent/ merchant at one place. So there are actually few stalls and every stall have a different pricing for the Celcom Wireless Broadband packages or modem price.

Some offered RM299 for the Vodafone modem if you subscribe with to a Celcom Wireless Broadband package. Some other offered RM250 for the Vodafone modem with no contract attached. I’m so concern about the contracting as we’re not sure whether our area have a good signal for the wireless broadband or not. So, if we have no contract attached, we can cancel the service and use other service provider. We need to make sure that the modem can support other service provider as well, but now I think it won’t be an issue as most of the modem support all service providers, but just to make sure, we need to ask.

After going around nearly all the stalls, me and my brothers managed to find a great deal which is for RM299 you can get a Vodafone modem with one month RM68 Celcom Wireless Broadband package. We just need to add RM30 for the RM98 (3.6 Mbps) Celcom Wireless Broadband package. For me that is a great deal and the best part is there is no contract attached to it. We can cancel the subscription whenever we like. My brother paid RM329 for the Vodafone modem and 3.6 Mbps Celcom Broadband Wireless Broadband Advance Package (one month subscription included).

I told him to take it first as I want to see whether the service is good or not at my housing area and the area that I always go around as well. I wanted too wait for PC Fair as I hope there will be better deal there. Hehe…
